Brothers,
The Chi Chi
chapter of Sigma Chi would like to extend to you an invitation to join us for
our 5th annual Founder’s Day Classic. The golf tournament will be
held on Saturday March 31th, at Highland Park Golf Course in
downtown Birmingham.
The day
will commence with a lunch of BBQ and chicken sandwiches at Highlands starting at 11:30 am (provided by the chapter). The tournament will officially begin with a shotgun start at 1pm. Throughout the afternoon we will additionally be having a silent auction with signed memorabilia from professional athletes and famous brothers alike. After the round, we will hand out prizes for the winning teams, as well as the individual winners of the long drive competition, closest to the pin, closest to the prize, etc. Following the tournament, we will move to Rojo (tentative) for drinks and appetizers before heading home.
All of the
proceeds from the tournament will go towards our housing fund. Our outstanding
balance on the house is just over $10,000, and our goal is to have this paid
off in full in the next two years. The Founder’s Day tournament is our biggest
fundraiser towards this effort, and we hope that you’ll be able to participate.
The cost of the tournament is $400 per four player team, or $100 per individual player. If you can't find a team of four don't worry! This year we are teaming up brothers from various pledge classes so all you have to do is show up and we'll worry about the rest. If you would like to participate in the Founder’s Day Classic, please fill out the form below to register and click the "FUNDRAISING EVENT" link below to pay. If you are not a golfer, we still invite you out to the course for food and the auction as well as for drinks afterwards to enjoy the fellowship and brotherhood of the day as well as the founding of our chapter. We are looking forward to the Classic and the opportunity to celebrate the fraternity’s founding with our brothers, parents, alumni and friends. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact Phillip Brol (contact information below).
