From July 28-30, five brothers represented Chi Chi at the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop. BLTW began in 1947 as a program designed to improve the quality of leadership in Sigma Chi's active chapters. This year Thomas Ray represented Chi Chi as Quaestor, Patterson Graham as Consul, William Upchurch as Risk Manager, Phillip Brol as Recruitment Chair, and Jay Dunn as a brother. These brothers joined over 1500 other undergraduate Sigs from across the country at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and discussed strategic plans for the chapter, received training in their offices, and reconnected to the Ritual. Discussed improvements included changing our financial system (especially regulations regarding debt), focusing on quality over quantity in recruitment, and reshaping our drug enforcement policy.
In addition, Rob NeSmith ('11) represented Chi Chi during the selection of the finalist for the International Balfour Award, the highest undergraduate honor the Fraternity recognizes. Read more about NeSmith's accomplishments
