Fifteen Make Up Chi Chi's Newest Pledge Class

The Chi Chi chapter of Sigma Chi has been hard at work throughout the summer and the first few weeks of this semester to recruit a worthy group of young men to make up our new pledge class. This hard work has more than paid off, with an outstanding group of 15 new members accepting their bids on Wednesday September 15th at the culmination of formal recruitment. These pledge brothers represent a range of temperaments, talents, and convictions, and truly meet the demands of the Jordan Standard.

The chapter extends its deep gratitude to rush chairmen Thomas Ray '12 and Nick Crook '13 for the tireless efforts over the past few months. Their dedication resulted in this great group of young men, and we are incredibly thankful to them for that.

• Luke Morris '14 from Franklin, Tennessee.
• Blake Nuwayhid '14 from Huntsville, Alabama.
• Robert Potts '14 from Homewood, Alabama.
• Stephen Russell '13 from Homewood, Alabama.
• J.B. Strauss '14 from Macon, Georgia.
• Matthew Sturdivant '14 from Mobile, Alabama.
• Will Upchurch '14 from St. Augustine, Florida.
• Keatton Van Sickle '14 from Pensacola, Florida.

They will be led and taught by Magister Lee Hopf '11. Their pledgeship will be a challenging but enriching experience, and will prepare them to become Sigma Chi. The chapter is excited about the potential of these new pledge brothers.
